Back: St. Vincent de Paul was born to a poor family. He spent most of his life providing relief to the poor. He also evangelized convicts. He founded a lay institute of women as well as a religious institute of priests to assist him in his work. These are still around today. "The Apostle of Charity" died when he was 80 years old. He is the patron saint of all charitable societies.
