Our Lady of Fatima Statue

Our Lady of Fátima refers to the Marian apparitions reported by three shepherd children—Lucia dos Santos and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto—in the small village of Fátima, Portugal, in 1917. According to their accounts, the Virgin Mary appeared to them six times over a period of several months, conveying messages of prayer, repentance, and conversion as well as three prophetic secrets, which included visions of hell, predictions of World War II, and an assassination attempt on a Pope. This religious event drew immense global attention and led to the construction of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, a major center of pilgrimage that continues to attract millions of devotees each year seeking spiritual solace and miraculous interventions.
